Viruses/Spyware/etc
Would someone please tell me if there's any lasting effect of viruses or trogon's if the os is loaded to the system ram? Such is how i am running wolvix cub. I imagine that running an active wolvixsave.xfs file would save even those issues? Am i correct in thinking this? Yes i keep a copy of the savefile as backup. Works great! But do i need a virus scanner?
I do personally not bother about viruses and such while on Linux. The thing is, first the script needs to be run. Then it needs to know what distro you're using to know where to move and what to do (if it's not as simple as sudo rm -rf *, of course). But as you say, using a wolvixsave.xfs would also save those effects. So no need to say "Viruses, come here!". However, running in RAM, a virus could do no harm if it did not directly change anything on your harddisk (eg. 'cd /dev/sda1 && sudo rm -rf *').
Of course, caution is always recommended.
